The Block House is a place in the Old Fort. It got its name because block and tackle were made there.
The Batteries is a place near the Block House also. It got its name because the soldiers were stationed there in olden times and used to store powder and shot there.
Páirc na Croise is near the Pakeen in Castlepark and it means the Field of the Cross.
