Another remedy for wounds and whitlows was the snail and its broken up and applied to cool down and ease the painful wounds.
The liquid of the white dandelion was extracted and prepared as the cure of certain liver diseases.
For a sore throat a species of caterpillar black and woolly was sewn in a flannel bag, until such time as the caterpillar dies, then the throat is cured.
For a bad cut a cobweb was got and placed on the wound to stop the bleeding.
In case of diphtheria a goose quill was got and sulphur blown down the throat for a cure with the quill.
Sore eyes were cured by bathing in the water of holy wells.
Another cure for sore eyes was to bathe them in cold tea water.(continues on next page)
