- St Ann's Castle is near St. Ann's Hill Hydro, in the Townland of Kilnamucky, in the parish of Inniscarra in Co. Cork. This Castle was said to be a Convent, and the Reverend Mother's name was Ann. When she died she was Canonized and the district got its name from her. Tradition says that a party of tourists were exploring the Castle and discovered an underground passage. While going down this passage the nun appeared to them and led them through the passage until they came out at St. Ann's Well about a mile distant from the Castle. The well is covered with an iron cover and is always kept locked.
