  1. There are five forges in this district. The blacksmiths belong to families who have followed the trade for years. The forges are situated at the back of the following streets, Strand Street and Percival Street.
    In country districts the forges are at crossroads. The roof of a forge is usually covered with felt or rough boards. The door is sometimes shaped to represent a horseshoe.
    In large forges there are two fire places
