- Old Houses
There were a lot of old houses in the district that were made of mud. These houses were thatched with reed. People grew wheat for thatching. They tied two sticks together with horse skin and held one stick in their hands and flailed the heads of the wheat with the other stick and then they used it for thatching
Some houses had beds in the kitchen. Half doors were common in former times. Most of the firing was wood, candles were made from the fat of cows.
