- One day a man was putting in a stove in Mr. P Walsh's house in Carrignashina near the chimney and he found a few coins. Gold is said to be hidden in that chimney.(continues on next page)
- Carrignashina is situated about a mile from Castlemartyr and in this townland is a cave. This cave is supposed to be built by the Danes. It is underground having a high mound of earth on top. A pot of gold is hidden there.
