There used to be a fort at Kilmurry in Geary's land. A house - the present residence was built on part of the fort.
They meant to build a two storey house but when it went to a certain height once they put on any more it was found knocked down in the mornnig. At first they thought it was the work of some neighbours but after a while when the work was continually being knocked down it had to be left as a one storey house and so remains up to now.
