Ar an leathanach seo

  1. Long ago they had three meals a day, these were breakfast, dinner, and supper. People never heard of tea. Breakfast was eaten at six o'clock in the morning and dinner was eaten at twelve o'clock and supper was at six o'clock. People were very early risers, they got up and went to work before breakfast. For breakfast they had sheeps milk and bread for dinner potatoes and sour milk, and supper bread and sheeps milk. When eating meals they put the table by the wall and a canvas bag on the table, then they empted the potatoes out on the canvas bag. People often eat black bread and one way bread. They were made the same as out own bread we have at present. Meat was only used once a year at Christmas, and then salt meat was eaten. Fish was not eaten. The vegetables used were, nettles, turnips and cabbage. People never ate late (long) at nigh because they went to bed early. Tea was drunk about 150 years ago. When cups were not
