  1. Miss Hooligan's Cake.
As I sat by my window last evening.
a letter man brought it to me.
    a letter of kind invitation.
    Saying"Gulla come over to tea".
I knew it was a Hooligan sent it.
And that for old friendship sake.
The first thing I tackled at was a slice of Miss Hooligan's cake.
There were plums, prunes, cherries sitern and raisins and cinnamon too.
There were nutmeg, cloves and berries and the crust was stuck on with glue.
There were caraway seeds in abundance
which would give a fine stomach ache.
You would kill twice after eating
a slice of Miss Hoolligan's cake.
"Miss Nolty, I see you're not eating.
Take another bit now for my sake.
"Oh, no, thank you Miss Hooligan".
But I would like the recipe of your cake.
