It is square in shape sloping from east to west.There is a ruined church in the graveyard, with preserved walls covered in ivy. The roof was thatched long ago, as were all buildings. The church was built by Iveruss the Dane for the Catholics in the tenth century but it was taken over by the Protestants in the famine period.Three bushes mark three distinct graves. There is one old iron cross bearing the name of Joseph Barret but no date can be seen. There is a tomb belonging to Mr Giant of Cappagh.There are six graves in the ruin - McEvoy of Miltown, Kenrick and Sheahan of Ballycanana, Carroll of Mitchelstown(continues on next page)
