    When Bayo grew to man's estate
    Away in the far west
    The tyranny of England
    Still rankled in his breasst
    And vows of vengeance oft he swore
    For Erin sore oppressed
    4th Stanza
    Now forty years have passed and gone
    And Bayo gains renown
    He's riding on a jaunting car
    Within his native town
    While the Band he helped to organise
    Plays the Rising of the Moon
    Bayo was one of the Fleming Brothers. There were seven of them in the family and two daughters. They were of most respectable parents - Thomas Fleming and Mary Hennessy of Ballylanders.
