- Fairy Forts
There are a lot of fairy forts in this district
They are called moates and lisses. They are
generally in view of each other and all
the year round a green path can be
seen between every two forts. They are
round and are higher on the inside
than outside. They are fenced by
earth ditches on which blackthorn
bushes grow.
There is a moate in Mr. Patrick Bussen's
land in Keyloques. There is another moate
in Mr Frank Bussen's land and there
is a fairy path from one fort to the other.
Mr Patrick Bussen built a house on the
fairy path in the year 1897. The doors
of the house cannot be fastened. If
they are locked at night they are
found open in the morning.
One morning Mr Cussen got up at three
o'clock in the morning to go to a fair
and when he looked out the window(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
