- The Leipreachan is believed to be the same as the "Bansee" around here. One night there was a man and his wife going in to Doon village. Their home was in the Glens. Glengar was the name of the Glen. As they were nearing the middle of the glen, they heard a noise not much louder that the ticking of a clock. Suddenly they stopped and listened and they could barely hear the tick-tick-tick as of someone hitting something very lightly. They walked on another few steps and about six yards away, they saw a little man sitting on a large stone mending boots. Then the woman got afraid and her husband had to take her away as quickly as he could.
