Dinner was taken about twelve o'clock and supper was taken about seven o'clock at night. People worked before breakfast, such work as milking cows, feeding pigs and calves. Up to fifty years ago potatoes were used at almost every meal. Skim milk was drunk with the Potatoes. People generally sat in the middle of the floor when eating their meals.
