Ar an leathanach seo
- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)the name comes, is not known. Some of those rocks bear curious hollows, which would remind you of footprints, but they are very large. I was often told, that they were the footprints of a giant. There is no legend worth while connected with it, but by the way some of the stories that are scattered about it, are remarkable.
Further down in the same field, about two hundred yards from the "Rock" is another curious place. It could possibly have been a quarry one time, as there is a big rocky hollow in it, where stone might have been taken up from it. There are several rocks scattered around here too, but those are overgrown by moss and ivy. Mr. O'Malley has made this spot very attractive by planting an amount of ornamental shrubs about it. This place is called "Moll-Allen's Rock" why, I don't know, but the old people used to say(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
