- My Mother told me a few stories about Carrigparson hill.
Carrigparson means "Rock of the Parson" and long ago an old parson lived there and when he died the house was burnt and it is always said that the place is haunted.
There are ruins of an old Church still to be seen where the Church-yard is and there was a road leading from it to Carrig-O-Reilly Castle.
As you would be passing Carrigparson hill about half-past-twelve at night during the mongh in which the old parson died you would be sure to see him.
