- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)attacked by Cromwells soilders they went through this secret passage from MonaIcha to the round tower. The soilders did not know the entrance to this passage so they gave a woman money to tell them. She told them and she was immeditley turned to stone. A stone figure supposed to be that of the woman may be seen outsid Mona Icha Church. She carried a cake on her head, it too was turned into stone and is still on her head. When the monks were reached the round tower they took out a ladder and ascended up to the round(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
