  1. One time there was a farmer and he lived near the Munster river and there was a mare in foal in the field near the river. Then there was another farmer and he lived near the other side of the river and he had another mare in foal in the field on the side of the river. One morning the two farmers went down to look at their mares and the two mares were foaled and they were together in one man's field and one of the foals was drowned in the river in the morning when the owners went down to see them. Then the two mares were going together with the life foal. Then the man that owned the field was claiming the foal and the other farmer said that the foal was his that he was like his mare. So a great fight took place over the foal to know which of them would own the foal. Then another neighbour came on and told them the way he would settle it if it was his care. He would tell the story to the first
