    Jeremiah Dwyer who lived in Bishopswood about Sixty years ago was a noted candle maker
    Barrel Maker.
    A man named Tom Fitzpatrick who lived in Bishopswood was a great barrel maker. He used make barrels, churns milk cans, keelers, and cream cools.
    A great thatcher.
    James Ryan was a great thatcher.
    A great spinner.
    Mary Ryan of Bishopswood was a great spinner and weaver and she carried it on in a district called Rossmore.
    Brick Making.
    About forty years ago bricks were made in Bishopswood by people called Ryan (Brickers).

  2. Woolen goods used to be made in Rossmore which is about three miles from here. Blankets were the chief articles made. Many of these articles are to be seen in the houses at present.
