  1. It is believed that there is gold buried in many parts of the country. People say that there is gold buried in the old Cahir near the school and there is a black hound guarding it. It is buried since the time of the Danes.
    People say that if one went there between first and second Mass on a Sunday they would get the gold. People were searching for the gold a few years ago but they did not find any. There is a lake near the Cahir and some people say it is there the gold is.
    It is also believed that there is gold buried in the old castle (in) near the lake and that there is a cock minding it.
