“There was a King there long ago who had no son and one daughter.”
(ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)no Mass would be celebrated as the P.P had died leaving a debt of 80 pounds and until that would be paid no Mass could be said in that Church. The Prince asked if the debt were paid would Mass be said in that Church. The prince asked if the debt were paid would mass be said. The old man said yes, with great delight.
Then the young man and himself went at once to the clerk of the parish and gave him the 80 pounds to celebrate Mass the following morning at eight o'clock. The clerk of course was delighted and consented.
The parishioners were surprised next morning when they heard the bell ring to call them to Mass. The Prince and the old man were the first to enter Church.
When Mass was over the young prince again set on his journey. When he stood at the four-cross-roads at the end of the village he asked God to direct him which road to take. He saw a man walking ahead of him on the road leading to the east. He thought to himself his company would shorten his journey for him. As he did so the man turned round and said "Good Morning King's son."(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
