    A long time ago there was an old Queen,who was also an enchantress;and her daughter was very beautiful.But the old woman was always thinking of tricksto entice men to marry her daughter ,so that she could kill themEvery youth that came to marry her daughter was compelled to go before the queen to answer riddles and if they did not answer them they were killed.There was a king's son who heard of the beautiful girl ,and he prayed his father to let him go and win the girl.
    The king said "never will I let you go,for if you go away,you go to die".
    At this answer the boy got sick,and continued so for seven years.At last the king consented to let him go to seek huis fortune .When the prince heard this he jumped from his bed and soon he set for his journey.As he went across the land he saw something lying on the ground like a bundle of hay ,but as he approached nearer he found out it was a man stretched on the earth ,the man was
