  1. "Jack-stones"
    Jack-stones is the usual game played by school girls. Jack stones are five round, little stones
    1st. stage
    The following is the game:-
    One of the jack-stones is put on the ground, while another of them is taken in the hand. This is thrown up, while the jack-stone on the ground is caught, and also the one coming down.
    Then two are placed on the ground, one is thrown up, and the two on the ground, and also the one coming down are caught.
    Three and then four are also placed on the ground, and caught in the same way.
    2nd stage. "Gobs"
    You take the five jack-stones in your hand, throw up one, leave down four, and catch the one coming down. Then you throw up one, leave down four, and catch the one coming down,
