About a hundred years ago people lived on three meals a day-Breakfast about nine oclock after a couple of hours work ,the breakfast consisted of porridge and milk ,the dinner usually consisted of potatoes and sour milk and the wealtier classes used have butter and eggs,the same kind of food was used for the supper.The table used always be taken out in the middle of the floor for the meals.
    In olden times they used very dark brown ,they grew their own corn and crushed it at home by the aid of two large circular stones called a querrin.This was very healthy bread and was supposed to be good for the teeth and people used never get toothaches at that time.At this time the wealtier classes used be able yto
