- There is a blessed well in the boundary between Clare and Galway in the townland of Gort na Kella. It is called St Colman's Well. It is a well for eyes. The rounds are performed there two Mondays and a Thursday or two Thursdays and a Monday. If you performed there it would cure your eyes no matter what would be wrong with them but you must have the faith. The rounds are done by beginning outside in the road and saying Our Father and ten Hail Marys. They go around the well three times and then kneel at the well. They say the same prayers there. They then go round closer to the well three times more. You come back again and finish up at a big stone in which there is an image of a cross.
There is also another blessed well in Tubber Co Galway. It is called Tobar na Dónnaigh. There are no special diseases cured there. You are supposed to do then rounds by going round and kneeling on(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
