- From my knowledge of Ennistymon there are two holy wells in the locality – one is Saint Bridget's and the other is Saint Joseph's. Saint Bridget's Well is situated on the north side of Lahinch. In the year 1936 I payed a visit to this well. I was shown the ["well" interlined, in same hand, with carat] and all the place by a lady whose name is Miss Malone. I said prayers and asked for a special request. There is a very large statue of Saint Bridget which I was told was presented by Mrs Healy Ennistymon. Saint Joseph's Well is situated outside Miltown Malbay. It is known that several people have been cured at these wells.
