Cuilneach
In penal days when the Friars were hunted they settled down in Cúilneach. They were hunted, when their monasteries were burned and churches and Priests and Friars had to fly on account of the English Government. They settled down in lonely places ,built one of their huts beside one of the crags, lived there for numbers of years on the charity of the people .There was a price for the wolf's head same as for the Priest's head .And the Cúilneach was a backward place and they felt safe there. The foundation of the huts is to be seen to the present day.The price was £5 for the wolf's head and the same for the Priest's head so cruel was the Government at that time.- Collector
