    Sounds were used in March April and May. It was not used in very warm or very cold weather, and therefore it was ''out of season'' in any part of the year except spring.
    It was uses
    (1) as a drink
    (2) as a blood purifier
    (3) with other food
    Porridge was eaten with sounds
    One crock of sounds lasted a week.
    To get a drink out of the crock of sounds some blades of straw were placed across the mouth of the crock. There were pushed down before the vessel being inserted in the crock so as to keep down the seeds and procure a drink from the seeds.
