- I do not remember much severe weather but I heard that there was a lot of it here in the parish of Tullaroan during the last century. There was alot of damage done by it.
The people were prepared for most of it, because they knew signs before any storms occured. A sign of storms was, have the clouds in streaks across the sky. They had many others also.
About forty years ago there was a great big storm. There was alot of damage done by it. Trees were uprooted, and the roofs were blown off many houses and barns. The storm lasted one day only.
In the year 1931 there was a snow storm about the end of March. It was snowing for two days and in some places, there were drifts ten feet high.
Some people had great hardships. They could not get bread(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
