- There are a good many kinds of birds. There are some birds and they never travel.
The cuckoo swallow and the woodcock leave at different times of the year for summer land. Wild geese often go to nothern conties during summer and the come back in the winter.
The curlew, plover and other birds go away in summer.
The ones which stay at home are the crew, woodpigen, blackbird, thrush, robin, and finch.
The robin is said to have got his red brest from the blood which fell from the wounds of Our Saviour on the way to Calvary. All birds have different way of building there nests.- Bailitheoir
