- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)St. Patrick- "Here come I St. Patrick, with my armour
shining bright.
I am a worthy hero and worthy of the night.
My head is made of silver and my body is made of steel
and I will banish snakes and serpents before my forty 'yeel'(?)
Big Head- "Here I come, that did not come yet Big Head
and little wit.
Though my head is big and my wit is small
I'll do my best to please you all
If you do not give in to what I say
I will call in my friend Funny Johnny."
Funny Johnny- "Here I come, Funny Johnny
I am the kid that carrys the money
I have a box under my arm
And a couple of quid will do it no harm
Come on old women, and ruffle your feathers
We did not come here for fools or blathers
We only came here to show you the fun
So give us the cash and let us go on." - The Wren Boys
Another Christmas custom is for Wren Boys to go round from house to house the day after Christmas Day.
A number of boys gather together and dress themselves in strange costumes so as not to be recognised(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
