    There were many old customs used long ago. The woman of the house would put her arms round the calves neck and lead him out to the field. They used to cut a piece of the calves and let one drop of blood flow and this was done on a Friday. When they are putting into the pot they shake holy water on it. If a person was going a journey and if they forgot anything they would not turn back because they said it was unlucky.
