- Loughsallagh Graveyard
Situated half a mile east of Dunboyne village.
A Holy Well in graveyard: st Michaels. A cure of toothache. Each time a person comes for the cure he throws a pin into the well. The pins used in sheets at a "wake" were also brought put into the well.
It is said that a tinker once washed his stockings in the well and ever since the well is dry.
(James Moran) 1935When a person was being buried in Dunboyne graveyard, the corpse was carried in a big sheet and the pins used in pinning sheet were thrown into a well in the graveyard. There was a cure for headache in the water. No water in the well now. (M. Kelly 1935 heard from grandfather born in Dunboyne 1852). - Conas tras-scríobh a dhéanamh »Níl tú logáilte isteach, ach tá fáilte romhat tras-scríobh a dhéanamh go hanaithnid.
