- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)came for the third daughter to go out and seek her fortune. She took the riddle and stuffed it and carried water from the well. She too, cooked a chicken like her sisters, but she gave the greater part of it to her mother. She set out and came to the same wood where she met the same little dog. She gave it plenty of food. She went off again taking the little dog with her. She reached the castle and the man called out "All alone fair maiden". She said she not alone, but had a little dog with her. The man jumped out the window, and the girl followed until they came to a hill. He struck the hill and a door opened to them and they entered. The man was the king and he married the girl and restored the other two girls.
