The docken is a very useful herb. It cures the sting of a nettle. People cut up dockens and mix them with meal to make pig's feeding.
Many thistles grow on our land. It is a very harmful weed. It grows very quickly. A blue flower comes on it, when fades after a while and the seed spreads over the land and it destroys the land. The thistle has to be cut before the seed falls.
The scutch grows in the tilled land. It is a small weed much like grass. It has white roots. It destroys the crop if it is not looked after.
Presha is a tall weed like cabbage, it is green in colour. It bears a bright yellow flower and when the flower falls the seed comes on. It has to be cut just like the thistle.
There are many Fox tongues along the hedges. It is a very(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
