- In olden times the people had only two meals in the day, one about six o-clock in the morning and the other at about six in the evening.
People used to get up early and work before they got anything to eat and then they would get their breakfast after four hours hard work every morning.
Potatoes were not very plentiful in olden times, and instead of them they had to drink black tea, because a great famine came and the potatoes decayed in the ground.
