- In my district there are various customs attached to the different saints.
On Saint Patricks day shamrocks are always worn by grown up people, while young boys always wear crosses, and young girls green ribbons in the shape of a harp. Those are usually made by the childrens mothers.
On palm Sunday people often make crosses of palm, and hang them in their homes and in the out houses.
On May Eve there is an old custom in my district. In every house there is generally a small green bush and this is decorard with flowers and small candles of all colours.
Christmas is one of the greatest feasts of the year. On(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
