- There is a cave in Newrath, and down in it are three roads, one leading to the right, another to the left, and the third on straight. No one ventured to go down into it since the strange happening that occurred there a long time ago.
There was a poor man playing a fiddle in the streets of Kells one day, and some men who were interested in seeing where the roads in the cave lead to they told the fiddler they would give him a large sum of money if he went into the cave.
They also told him to keep playing the fiddle so as they would know if he was all right. This the man did; he went down the straight road and the men walked in top to hear the music. But suddenly it stopped and the man was(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
