St Kieran who lived in Kieran in Carnaross had a well in it called St Kieran's Well. It is situated on the side of a green sloping bank. Great numbers of people attend it on the first Sunday of Harvest. They come to this well to cure a toothache. If they had a toothache they would go to this well and rub the water to their teeth and bless themselves after it and in a few days after they would be cured.- Bailitheoir
