   False, ranting Satan I have heard enough
   Of your deceitful, low, bombastic stuff.
   In all your flights you did not tell
   Of your descent and why you fell
   You did not tell by verbal word or pen.

   II
   You were the first invented mortal Sin
   Low cunning creature dead to sin and shame.
   You have no right created man to blame

   III
   For sin in you was far more heinous than
   Ten thousand errors in clay-built man
   You were an angel of superior light
   Face to face in the Almighty Sight.

   IV
   A spotless spirit, all perfect, pure.
   No flesh to tempt, no object to allure;
   And yet you fell from that elevated state
   By your own pride and sordid, self-conceit;

   V
   Not pleased with all the glory you enjoyed
   You have vent yourself and others you destroyed
   Your false, deceitful, agitating tongue
   Persuaded angels to act base and wrong.
