- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)Horses are different to any kind of animal because they are subject to a lot of diseases.
Some of them suffer from Side bones, Ring bones, Curbs, Spavins, Wind Gall, Splints and several other deformities of the legs. All these diseases are handed down from their ancestors.
Some horses are very wise. About fifty years ago a man named Michael Clarke Loughaveal, Co Cavan. sold a two year old horse in Kells fair. The way he took to bring him to the fair was, he brought the horse's mother, and let the young horse follow her.
He sold the young horse at £26, which was a good price in those days. Two bad men that saw him getting the money followed him two miles out along the road going home. When he was at Mr Mc Quade's of Loughan, Kells, Co Meath,(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
