    Where stout and whiskey flow
    And youngsters dance with fond delight
    And fiddles ply their bows
    But now alas! the times are changes
    The fair is nearly gone
    Where once there stood a score of tents
    To-day their stands but one
    Then up and down the mountain base
    We then beat to and fro
    The birds were few and far between
    Yet many we laid low
    With weary limbs we beat our way
    Around the knolls and crags
    And when we reached the cairn's top
    We had two well filled bags
    We got a drink from Peggy "Dunt"
    Her goat's milk was sublime;
    She said "'twould cure a score of ills
    If taken for some time"
    Poor Peg is gone to her reward;
    He cot is gone also
    And in the spot where once it stood
    Rank weeds and rushes grow
    For oft I ramble out the road
    And sit upon a mound
    And get my glasses focussed right
    To have a look around
