  1. Once upon a time there lived a doctor whose name I don't know, who required an attendant and was very hard to please. He thought of a plan to test the attendant to be bravery. He had the skull of a man set upon a mock body and worked mecanicaly so that it could both talk and eat. Three young men applied for the position. He gave the first man a bowl of hot porridge and told him to feed the man in the room. When the skull opened its mouth and began to eat the man got afraid and took to his scrapers. The doctor engaged the second man and the next morning he told the attendant to feed the man in the room. So he was feeding him away when the skull said "It's too hot" so the second man got afraid and left. So the third man engaged and the following morning he was next to feed the man. He worked away and after a while the skull said "It's too hot" as the third man got vexed and said "Sam you can't you blow it." So the third man was successful.

Just as he was within a short distance of it a terrific noise started within it just reminded him of the Meath Hunt. There was
