- In a house between Summerbank and Knockbrack on Mr O'Neill's land there stands the ruins of an old house. Long ago there here a man named Galligan. The old people say that this house was haunted. They said that one night as he was sleeping he heard a noise outside in the garden just at the back of the house. He got up from bed and looked out and a horseman crossing his potatoes. He was troubled about his potatoes and got up early that morning, but on going out got no track of the horse's hoof. This went on for a long time and at last the horseman came into him in the bed. He was frightened and went to tell Father Leonard and martin the Poet. They went one night to Galligans house. When they reached it Martin could see the horseman but the priest could not The priest prayed and he put down the ghost in a heap of stones.
