  1. In years gone by, about the year 1900, an old man named Patrick Mac Cabe Raheen Co West Meath was on his way through the fields for his turkey at about twelve o'clock at night.
    As he was about to bring them in, he heard a great noise. When lo, and behold on looking around he saw a large carriage with four horses and fairy like men sitting up talking and enjoying themselves.
    He could hear the trot of the horses through the fields the same as if on a tarred road. This carriage of fairies went regularly from the hole of Poll Gera on the side of Moal across by Ballycomoyle school and on to
