    uncle of the boy got the car ready and started for Lough Lene taking with them a sheet to cover the boy. Now during their absence the fairy boy at home never stopped crying and telling the mother that her son would be killed and lost before they could reach the lake. At the same time hands came to the window and repeated the same as on their first visit. This worried the mother and she began to cry. By this time the father, uncle and son were on their way home but the boy stood up and said "Good bye Father I have to go back because mother is crying." At that the boy vanished.
    This happened three times in all but on the third time the priest stayed with the mother and kept her from crying and they succeeded in bringing home their son. When they got home they proposed doing away with the boy that was at home so one night
