- (continued from previous page)Rosmead bog used to spin and weave and make all the clothes from wool. The men used to shear the sheep in Spring and then the women used to spend their time weaving and spinning and making clothes for the children and then they had warm clothes for the winter. They used to dye their clothes with some sort of a plant that used to grow along the river or in the woods.Whips were very easy to make the people got a stick and cords and tied them all together and twist them all around the stick.Tom Boyle used to thatch long ago they used to tie sheaves of straw and thatch with them and Tom Claxton in Mulroe is an other thatcher. Some of the people used to live on fish and fowl the rivers are very good for fish those years. The salmon and trout eels and some others too. It was very hard to catch them sometimes.
