  1. There is a cross at our house where a man fell off a horse and he was killed, and there was a cross put there and box wood, the cross is there yet and it is rotten but on one touthes it. There is a cross on the Kilskyre road where a Priest was killed. There are very old stones in Clonarney Churchyard. There is a cross on the Athboy road where two men were killed going to Athboy with a load of Timber, Rochford and Connel were their names. There was a sidecar comming down the road and the man that was in it was Davin. He was not able to see the road he was so drunk and he was cheering. At that time when they brinked the road mending it, they used to leave little heaps of stuff along the side of the road which was
