  1. The townland of Priesttown is situated beside Scarden. It is said that there are five priests buried in a field there. Here also there is a splendid example of rath high, circular and surrounded by a deep trench.
    Saint Patrick's well is about half way between this rath and "Croc an Eirigí (Airgid). Close to the rath is the churchyard of Scarden, still used and having the remaining walls of a church still standing.
