When the bridegroom and the bride are coming out of the chapel after getting married rice and confetti are thrown on them for good luck.

When the married couple are getting into the car an old boot is tied out of the back of the car and others are thrown after it for good luck.
When there is a dance after the wedding the bride and bridegroom lead off the dance.
